Heavy rain has caused flooding in areas of Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Southbeach in Cleveland was closed on Thursday amid growing concerns about flooding in the area, authorities said. Officials said windy weather prevented Miami Beach from hosting the annual South Florida Waterfront Festival and the South Beach Arts Festival on Thursday, the first of its kind.
The total number of enrollments of 1,361 has a gender distribution of 36%, and 97% are attended by 1,904 students, according to the Miami-Dade County School District. A $2.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education will support the construction of a new state-of-the-art K-12 education facility in Miami Beach through September 10, 2020.

Temperatures will fall to the 40s and 50s in northern Florida on Monday night and Tuesday morning, while the 60s will hang on the Atlantic coast. Temperatures will then fall into the 30s on Tuesday and Wednesday, with parts of the Lake Okeechobee region falling into the low 40s. On Thursday and Friday, temperatures will fall back to 40-50 degrees, with temperatures a few degrees above average in some areas, 60 degrees on the Atlantic coast and 50 degrees in others.
